A tour of Esther and Christopher's home in Vermont.  October, 2002.

Descending Burke Mountain after a workout...
Same... towards NW
Same... local hill country...
Matt (Nordic coach) descending toll road (which goes up mountain) sitting on a pair of roller skis. Please don't try this.
Looking north towards Canada, through Willoughby Gap (holding a deep glacial lake).  The Gap is where the premiere nearby ice climbing is in the winter.
We've reached campus... Looking back up at the mountain from the middle of campus.  As I write, of course, everything here is snowy.
The view of half of campus as seen from the dining hall.  The central offices are in the building near the middle of the image, and Esther and my home, Witherell, is the building at the lower right.
View of the Gap again, looking across the soccer field at the lowest dorm (Willoughby Dorm).
The dining hall at lunch time. Where's Waldo (Esther) ?
Our apartment includes the two windows at the lower left of this building, Witherell.
Here's the entrance door, from a common lounge, to our apartment.  We built the ski rack.  There are 12 pairs there.
Looking left from the skis, we see one of our three huge closets.  This one contains some of our footwear.
Turning further left, we enter the apartment.  This is our dining room.
Work desks, laptop computer (on the left), and second X-terminal for it (visible) are behind.
Looking the other way views the kitchen.
Next to the computer desk is another closet.  There are eight pairs of climbing shoes here...  On the doors are Esther's equipment lists for different kinds of trips (she's German).
From the kitchen, a short hall goes to the bathroom, another closet, and the bedroom.
That's the bedroom.
Here's Esther and her Boat.  Yep, that's a complete, 16-foot touring sea-kayak as a 35-lb backpack.  Her homemade Greenland paddle is on the wall.
That's it.
